BBC Top Gear India Special - 28th Dec.

Really crap about time they axed TG, less about cars more about entertainment yet there was no entertainment tonight... apart from the eat english muff :rofl:
 
I spend a lot of time in India and was interested to see how this would turn out.

As usual - it was a heap of shite!

I gave up after 30 minutes. :thumbsdown:

Well, what did u really expect?

However, did you miss the word ending in 'SH' ... with the next word of 'IT'... when the train first pulled away... most in my house missed it, butmy son & I just looked at each other & thought, will they get caught... or will it be another Captain Pugwash
 
Stupid idiots messing about with toys like overgrown schoolboys and talking *rap about cars, can't think what sort of people would watch it really :oops:

I thought it was OK :thumbsup: but don't like good old cars being busted up

They've done better Christmas specials that's for sure but I think a lot of people miss the point about the aims of the programme. It's almost designed as a 'two-fingers' to a lot of the pomposity about what car programmes should or should not be about. Does anyone seriously expect it to be anything other than three-go-messing-around-in-old-cars-somewhere-abroad?

It's light entertainment not a factual car programme. If you don't find it funny then fine but don't criticise those who do. I loved Tommy Cooper but my mother couldn't stand him. Just opinion that's all.

I think this format gets the Beeb a lot more viewers than 'is the Ford Fiesta Diesel more economical than the equivalent VW Polo?'
 
OK guys, you are all an imaginative lot... given what they've done in the past has set the bar pretty high, what do you suggest as the 2012 TG Xmas special, though 'some say'... the world's going to end on the 22/12/12 :lol:
 
Nuts...I can't find it on any US tv stations. Guess I will purchase it off the xbox.
 
It was 100% their usual style and yes predictable.
I think they need to start doing something else soon
Some of it was very close to the wire and in parts taking the royal pi55 - but funny none the less.

Some parts were SO obviously made up it was cringe worthly.
 
having his cameron pal on at the start set the tone for me, to predictable they need to take a look at what is wrong and that is the predictability..... long running series need fresh blood and they need to change some of the production staff

To add my tuppence-worth, I thought it was all too predictable, tins of food falling off the top of a mini.

It should be called 'Carry On Top Gear'

Jason - can you get BBC iPlayer on the web over there ? If so it will be on there, probably on the front page...
