saw spits, hurricane, mustang and kittyhawks flying at goodwood friday and saturday, stunning and a tribute to the brave men that flew them in the war and the enthusiats that maintain and fly them now lest we forget.

Mentioned you had to feather the trigger because if you fired every gun at once the recoil would knock 30 knots off your air speed and the nose would lift up !

Canada has just recently (Like last week) released a medal honouring the efforts of Bomber Command in WW2.
It was the most dangerous of any WW2 Canadian Contingent with the highest mortality rate.
True to our governments attempts to optimize the political return..
The Minister responsible held back the awards so that he could maximize the exposure via many small media events.
When the few remaining vets balked at being treated in such a manner, the government was shamed into releasing the remaining medals via Canada Post.
Why would anyone today answer the call when they see the shabby ...even criminal treatment they receive as veterans ?
