Battery space soaking

So after like 6 months, the car came back from it's services journey around the Europe, dealing with the soaking battery space and non-working hydraulic engine for the roof. They've charged ~ €1.000 for the new hydraulic engine, but the car still came back with the battery space about 1.5 cm deep of water. U just love it... I've dried the water with a towel, went on a 130km journey and the water was back in there. At first, I thought the water poured inside from the back wheels space while driving, but the roads were super dry, so there has to be some sitting water. Anyone here had/has some similiar problems with the wet battery space and could tell me a bit more about this?

Hello and welcome, this may help. At some point do a proper introduction of yourself in the newbies section, including a picture of the car

Any additional infos about this "journey around the Europe" and your car? I didn't see it on our garage. :)

Well, if it's an E89 from 2009/2010, the rear ventilations have to be replaced (Pos #09):

If there has been already water in the boot, both sides of the boot have to get dried, on the left as well as on the right below the bunch of control units (ECU). After this, it taks some time to get the remaining water out of the two frames in the trunk (Pos #06)

Third brake light in boot lid can be an issue if yours is a roadster, check for cracks or a dodgy seal.

Not an issue on the e89 I believe. Happy to be corrected.

Oops didnt look, thought it was an e85.
You may be totally correct about the e89.
