Hi! New member here.
If I change battery do I have to do the ridiculous keep power through cigarette lighter I have read about elsewhere?
I am hoping to just swap and go. I don’t want to have to take to dealer afterwards because ac is not working or in some kind of limp home mode.
I don’t have a scanner tool. Do I need to reset computer or register?
Hope it’s just swap and go! Lol
Thanks!

You might have to reteach the windows/clock but that’s about it.

So I thought I was having an electrical problem. The radio shut off for no reason, then came back on. Something came up on dash, but it went off before I could see what it was. Then for the second time the clock reset to _:_
I was like oh no!!!!
I took the car to advance auto and they tested battery and said it was good. Took it home. Wiggled all fuses in glove box, and the few in hood...nothing. Then I cleaned up the battery compartment and found the negative terminal loose!!!! wtf? So I tightened both. Ran the car of course could not duplicate original problem before tightening....so I guess that was it. Now I had these cars for years but still learning! So now it is parked and locked with keys in pocket and the driver side running lights front rear and angel eye on headlight are on...I was like oh no I have electric problems!!!! Turns out the damn turn signal was bumped and that is normal on these cars. Stupid but normal! lol Hope all is well!!!
