Battery registration

Can a Foxwell 520 pro register a battery on an e89.
Any idea of price to register a battery at an bmw indie.

Don't know about Foxwell, but anyone with the full Carly can do this for you, alas I'm quite a way from you otherwise I'd help, but as I'm the other side of the country that's not practical

if you got the new battery with the same specs as the old, no need to register

I’ve heard different, the charging rates are different as the battery ages & the car needs the new battery registration to alter these rates :?
Others have not done this with no tales of doom of course!

Put a new battery in my 09 E89 3 years ago, never got it registered (never knew about it) and everything has worked fine.
Perhaps I'm just lucky!

I have Foxwell it says it can register a battery.
But when i bought a battery from Halfords they registered it for £10.
