Battery Drain & Parrot

Hoping someone can shed light on a battery drain issue.

I recently fitted a MKI9200 Parrot and have posted in another thread about volume problems. Now today when I went to lower the roof, it stuttered and wouldn't lock. Fearing the worst I though I would try again and this time no movement at all. I wasn't looking forward to a motor replacement but thought I would see if starting the car would help. Well, it wouldn't start at all. The good news was I jumped the car and roof works perfectly.

It is therefore pointing to a battery drain issue. The battery is showing the black dot so has insufficient charge. It is now on a trickle charge so will be fine in.... 70 hrs!!!!!!

The only thing I can think of is I have fitted the Parrot Mki9200. I used complex solutions loom, as have others without problems. The screen powers down when I turn off the ignition and says, goodbye, but is it possible it is still drawing some power? If anyone who knows what the problem is or has rectified similar could shed some light I would be most grateful.

i had an issue with my parrot, mine did not shut down i.e. no good bye message, this did dain my battery, i have now bought a ctek charger and use it frequently

before this my parrot as never caused a problem

I think the battery drain was due to testing the parrot out too much. I maybe did this for a total of 30 - 40 mins but it seems it was enough to drain the battery (worth knowing). I trickle charged the battery (although it would only accept about 1/3 of a full charge) and then drove for 2 hours and this brought the green indicator light back to the battery. Since then no problems :D
