Well I thought i had cured the battery drain situation, untill this morning with a flat battery, it was fully charged. Pulling the fuses and No 10 fuse 5amp -general module control unit, auxillary water pump, electronic vehicle imobilizer. I have also noticed that passenger window drops a few inches when the battery is disconnect/reconnected. Does any one have any ideas before I call we buy any car .com.
Oh just to clarify no 10 fused as a .09amp draw across when everything turned off and settled down.

So I am also getting a 0.42amp drain on fuse 24, both these are have auxillary water pump listed, anyone know were I can find that so can illiminate that as the problem?

Is yours a 2.0 then?
Auxiliary water pump is on the passenger side inner wing. Easy to find as it has 2x water hoses connected to it.

Is the GM5 just a replaceable part? The battery is being drained in a day. I think there is a bit of picture being painted here of its previouls owner, he had new discs n pads all round and new front springs ( looking at the mot history it looked as if all this needed doing anyway). When he got to the battery drain issue he gave up and banged it on ebay. I could not do that but its probably an easy route out. I'm not great on electrics but will battle on with any knowledge you can share as I'm a bit in the dark.

Just looked up what it does and the central locking on all the doors locks but does not unlock, this points more to the GM5 is that correct?
Can you recommend some one to replace relays if I get the unit out?

First you need to get it out and check the number. If it is something like 5RD it is about £40 to fix through eBay. If it is Star 12 Low then you need to find one of the fewer companies on eBay that fix it and it's around £60ish I think, They are not interchangeable.

Where are you connecting the multimeter or unit to measure this

Is the boot shut or the boot switch on the lock catch pushed in to make the car believe it is shut

Are you waiting long enough for everything to shut down around 5 to 6 mins

Is the car locked with the hood up etc.

Pull all the fuses and replace one at a time and check the readings this will take around 2 to 3 hours in total waiting each time for the car to go to sleep if you do not wait it gives you a false avenue to chase down

Once you have the fuse you can work down the circuit to find the fault

If you have done all of the above you are on the right route/fuse
