Battery discharge time question.

Hmmm...I don't want it to go into transport mode. I like Mr bears idea, it's a shame to have to buy two chargers as I already have a c-tek but better that than messing around and potentially killing a battery. The E85 will need trickle charging as well. Solar it is.

Don't bother with solar chargers john, theyre sh!te. Had 2, both binned.
Stick it on the ctek every 2 weeks to full charge and ur good to go.
Me ol fella has 8 cteks permanently hooked up to his little collection of 70's bruisers as he likes to jump in any of them at any to me for a razz around the streets of his local manor.
Convinced me to get one but u only have to hook it up for max 5/6 hours to refresh a half-discharged battery. As long as its in good nick that is.

Hi Chris, John has no power in his garage so the ctek isn't an option-I know solar isn't very powerful but it should help slow the slide? Or maybe you could integrate hamster/wheel tech with your wind turbine knowledge

Ok, i missed the bit where john doesnt have access to a plug socket. Shoot me. But really?? John mate surely you have a friendly neighbour / relative / open lamp post you can tap into or run an extension lead and derive 240v from?? Cmon!?!

Even i obliged my elderly neighbours' sister my plug socket so she could charge her sh!tty chevy volt while she sat next door scoffing cake and drinking tea whilst simultaneously slagging me off for having a front porch stuffed with bikes and canabi.... I mean, ficus benjamina plants!

What about a charged battery pack ones with socket in them and then plug in your battery charger and then when battery pack flat recharge at home and then keep doing it like that time to time ??

Problem is Chris the garage is a good 150metres from any property, ok I could link a few extension cables together and run them along the back of the 3 gardens leading to the garage, but then it's a problem keeping them dry. Plus the logistics of doing that kind of thing right now is simply not an option.

Have you got access to another battery ?
If you have, charge it and connect it to the stored cars battery and recharge as necessary.

I'd disconnect the battery, and diconnect all the stess at the same time.
I,ve done that with Porsches in the past and apart from resetting the window postion not had any ill effect.

Could this be risky though? Disconnection means no alarm etc and presumably no insurance company is going to pay out? Not sure I'd leave my 35 uninsured even in a lock-up TBH. :|
