My MXS 5.0 will charge mine in a day. Extension lead to the bottom of the drive, pop it on in the morning and done before it gets dark. Thats with my E85. I'm sure an E89 will be the same. If yours has been on pretty much 24 hours, I'd say it's definitely charged but just a poor output from the green LED.Silverstar said:

I understand it's not possible if your car is outside, but for mine in a garage, it gets connected and stays there. Sometimes for weeks at a time. I was sold on the CTEK because it was designed to do this. My point being that you don't need to worry about disconnecting it as soon as the green light comes on.
Well I checked it again Sunday and came to the conclusion that it must be done, the green seemed brighter but that could just in my head! But anyway once again I am now without a charger since I ran over it and killed it!

I'll make sure to tell Amazon to send me one with a brighter LED
. I am kicking myself now I am looking on the Amazon page and I see that I had the option to take accidental and mechanical breakdown cover for it for 2 years for just 11€!! Oh well maybe I can stick it on fleabay as spares or repairs and recuperate some money back. Next one, I'll buy it with that warranty cover, but knowing my luck probably won't need it now. :?
