Morning all
I'm after some assistance again sorry.
After my starting problems yesterday :x I want to change the battery which should be simple enough, but are there any special things to look out for or do on these cars? I think the last battery I changed was in a 1976 Dolomite sprint so things have moved on a bit since then
I've read or heard about a "Vent pipe" on these batteries? Sounds plausible with the battery in the boot.
I've also read or seen something about clipping your CTEK to the cables and connecting to the mains before you disconnect the old battery, so that you don't lose power and have to reset windows etc once the new one is in.
Also not sure what route to go with the change of battery. OEM or something else. Mine is a weekend car so can be stood outside for 10-14 days at a time. I wondered if there was an upgrade/heavy duty option?
Anyone had experience they can share please.
Cheers.
