Battery Age

The battery has now finally given up. I have just noticed that it is the original 2003 BMW branded battery. Anybody beat that?

Changed mine today, 2006 and I thought that had done well :D

Edit

Btw its a Bosch AGM and has a 6yr warranty from Euro Car Parts, result

Mines still on the original, my Indi pointed it out on my Inspection 2, but as it's on the CTEK 99% of the time I'm not going to worry.

You do right not to worry Steve, I suppose we're fortunate as in if it's kaput when we go to start it all it does it bugger up our plans for taking the car out and you just use your DD, although I suppose if it was a DD it would give up the ghost gradually, become lazy etc to give you the heads up to get it changed

I was just amazed this was the original and the car has over 100k on the clock. Replaced it with a similar 70Ah lead-acid for £95.

Mines still got the original battery in it from 2003... going change it thought as i'm fairly sure it's why my headlamp jets only work properly while driving
