So ive had my 35is for a month now & completed all the same "enhancements" i did to previous E89 models ive owned .
I know many new owners follow a similar route & often ask where or which item to buy so this thread may prove helpful to some
Nothing major , nothing costing the earth & barring the exhaust tips all easily doable yourself

interior bulb change to led £2.40
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T10-Car-LED-Bulbs-W5W-501-Interior-Lights-Wedge-Sidelight-White-Lighting-Lamp/232495977044?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=531808045345&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

black grills £55
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E89-Z4-Coupe-Cabriolet-Kidney-Grill-Grille-Gloss-Black-2009-onwards/152601309657?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

upgraded angel eyes to bright white from yellow £21.90
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Angel-Eye-H8-120W-LED-Marker-Halo-Light-Bulb-For-BMW-E82-E90-E92-E60-E61-E63-E89/362568774287?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

this makes such a massive difference on pre LCI models & takes 5 mins a side to switch over

new exhaust tips / only relevant to the 35i 35is models , the stock items being totally underwhelming for the supposed flagship twin turbo models
Under £100 for both supplied & fitted should be doable , cost me less from a place ive used a lot based in Lancashire , sure he will mail out the tips for those who want to arrange own fitment nearer home .
They are 2 x 98mm slash cut twisted to the side to mirror how the Oe ones are fitted

Love the tips. How much further do you think you could push them in? I like the OEM position.

They would have gone in 10mm / 15mm more , they are sat out pretty much as the oe ones were .
The drivers side one does need "notching" for the extra pipe that works the exhaust " flap "

Whats the quality of the grills like. I was about to buy OEM at £58.50 each so a pair for £55 is very attractive.

Fit & finish is more than I expected so I guess if you asked would I buy again?
Yes I would

Very useful info. I love the exhaust tips. More details on supplier and price would be helpful Andy. Checked on the link for the LED interior lights. Already sold out! What about chrome repeaters? Worth considering? I’m pleased with mine.

Mine came with the chrome side repeaters , what can I say about those without offending
I wouldn't have fitted them by choice

No offence taken, Andy. but I take it you're not a fan! What about the hanging pink dice I've got in the back window?

Andy how about getting those chrome trims painted gloss black to match the other bits

I like the design of the LCI indicators (mine also came with them fitted), but I've never understood why they're 'chrome' - nothing else on the car is so they don't really 'fit' the rest of the vehicle.
I wonder what a better option would be? Black would be lost on a black car, white too contrasting. Maybe a satin silver or something that matches the wheels a bit better?

What wheels and tyres have you got on that Mr Wilks? They look great.

They are 789M style 19s found on the M5 comp. I like the modern look they give the E89

Yeah me too mate, they're the dog's danglers! Good choice, sir, if I may say so!

Are they OEM 789's or "789-type" ones? What rubber is on them? Did you have to do anything to get them to fit the car, spacers etc? rR just bought them, put the rubber on and banged them on?

I have been deliberating changing wheels for ages now and not quite gotten round to it, scared of the complexity a bit :? The standard wheels - as per my sig - just make the car look a little "soft" in my eyes.

Eerrr no they are reps  genuine are around £3500 wheels only.
Straight fit onto a E89 with 235-35-19 front & 255-35-19 rear tyres.
These will be up for sale at some point over the coming weeks or if decide on some others aim for 8.5j front 9.5j rear & ideally offsets of et35/38

I love those wheels. Don't look 'soft' at all to me. Give me a PM if you ever want shot of them

When did this happen :? I must have been snoozing :?
Finally at the top of the E89 tree Andy, fine looking motor  How's the experience? :driving:
