Spent my sunday 10am-5pm doing a basic detail training course. I honestly never realised how much is involved in detailing a car to a professional standard, only went over the very basics but learnt loads. Have never used sealants, waxes or snow foam etc etc till today, would recommend to anyone. :dance2:

Sounds good! what course was it? Where?

I'd been keen to learn.

The company is I used is clbvaleting.co.uk based in Wrexham,North Wales. Nowhere near you sorry, not sure if anyother companies offer training. Worth looking into tho :)

In my opinion its cheap at £50 for whats nearly a full days training, even sandwiches and drinks are provided within that price.

Just had a look on their website. Looks to be a full day of knowledge for the enthusiast. Cost is indicated at £50 fr the day, including lunch :)
Hopefully there is similar in the midlands.

I'm only in Chester so quite fancy doing this - did you do the work on your own car or one of theirs?! Don't mind paying £50 and doing the work if it''s on my own car, i learn a bit/lot and i use their stuff!

Am sorry to say you practise on a car they supply otherwise they would'nt have the space. We used plenty of different products and they will help or advise on any problem areas on your own car. It was a great day and I honestly learnt alot, highly recommend it. Worth going down there just for the shop alone :sweetheart: ooh and they have a open day coming up at the end of the month.

A Z4-forum detailing day where we get to fix our own cars under the tutelage of a professional sounds good to me. Anyone want to volunteer?

That's not a bad deal at all! Come to my place, pay me £50 and I'll show you how to clean my car for me. I'll make you a sandwich too. :D

There's a nice guy not to far from us drive a Silver Grey ///M, he knows what he is doing.

You would need to put up with a bit of flimpering though

The company has 18 years experience, theres abit more to detailing a car to their standards than a quick sponge and bucket. :slaphead:

Wonder when he will pop his head up

Had to clean some bird muck off the car this morning, scratches underneath  My car definitely needs some professional detailing done on it, swirl/scratch/stone chip removal asap
