Personally I think that anybody who ordered one should ask for a refund if they do not receive what they bought.
Why should someone be allowed to keep other peoples money which could ad up to quite a sum.

Agreed
if we all shrug our shoulders, someone is going to get rich pretty quickly - I guess we should have known better but that's not the point

Maybe CJ10 is in on this scam with the seller

Well right now I'm in a restaurant just outside Marbella eating a very nice chateaubriand, so any money from the scam would be welcomed to ease my wallet pain :)

Chateaubriand....!! Chateaubriand.... Chateau...bloody...briand....!!

Now, when I were a lad, we 'ad it tough....

Well on a point of principle I lodged a claim on Amazon for the no-show of my digital thermometer
I received an email almost immediately with a claim number advising that it could take 1 to 2 weeks to review/resolve/compensate

Within 30 seconds I got another saying:
We have granted your A-to-z Guarantee claim for this order:

--Order Number: xxxxxxxxxxx

The payment method used to place this order has been reimbursed. If the order was paid by credit or debit card, it may take several business days for the refund to appear on your account. Please contact your bank for further assistance if you are unable to locate the refund on your account.

I'll donate my quid (and add another couple) to Zedward

Same here, repaid before the 3 days were up.
I'm very impressed with Amazon generally, signed up for their Prime and on the whole worthwhile. Very rarely use Ebay nowadays, usually go straight to Amazon first.

TO claim:

File/View claim, there are the tracking numbers listed and you write a short sentence why?

Is that it and you wait?

Yep, that's about it. I think there was a 'drop down' box for the reason you are claiming as well
i.e. item not received/arrived - or something like that

I'll stick a pic up tonight. They look like a shorter version of one I got from Machine Mart or somewhere. Kinda generic Vernier Caliper.

I did a quick test with one, then took the batteries out as in my experience they tend to go flat quite quickly.

So I ordered the 2 calipers. They arrived after around 3 weeks, and seem to work well.

Were they from the same seller as the IR thermometers, i.e. Fasun?

No idea. They were off a link posted on here. £1.50 or something like that. They did come from China though.

That claim filing is a bit of a lengthy job, done the first claim which put a date of 5th of October for the seller to respond, now had to put in the second claim which should be resolved by the 20th. How come some got it resolved in 3 days or so?
