Thought about diy - yes strictly speaking all barbys are just a grill over a fire. But when you begin to get deep into barbecuing you'll soon realise its not just about burnt food![]()
Awesome price on that riverside garden centre link. Just need to hold off for a couple of weeks![]()
I didn't have a choice but to realise it's not about burnt food , it's all I had to cook on for quite some time when I was building this house ,it was a metal grille stood on 2 concrete blocks , but now it floats in the stone wall !
That's gorgeous Paul but you could've just gone to the ground level and taken a pic of JUST the barbeque instead of making us all insanely jealous of your outdoor space![]()

I was on the roof anyway doing a little maintenance , it wasn't really just a pic of the BBQ , it actually looks a lot better now as I installed a stainless steel back and the coping joints are all pointed up now , still not finished yet after 6 years though !

Think I need to stop dreaming and get another weber. Used to have as kettle before and was always excellent in fact my parents always had a weber kettle since I was a kid...
So 2 questions it's about 8 years since I last bought one is the quality still as good? And is the masterpants version really that much better to be worth double the price?

Maybe it was the fact that it was bigger than the Weber or maybe just I'm a tight arse Yorkshire man but felt a really solid piece of kit and at less than a third of the price of the smaller Weber I had to buy it, hopefully we will have the weather to test it out over the weekend
I know I've had a weber myself and my parents always had one that I can remember, would still have one now if it hadn't been nicked.... Went in there with every intention of buying another weber (although not from b&q just wanted to see them to decide what size then buy online) but seeing this next to a more expensive but smaller Weber this actually looked and fealt the more expensive bbq.... For £30 I thought it's got to be worth a punt if I get a year out of it I'll be happy enough and buy the Weber next year if it lasts 3 years + then I may never go back to the more expensive options......cj10jeeper said:85genius said:Just been to B&Q to try and work out what size Weber I needed, and stood next to the 47cm Weber Kettle was this thing

I hope it works out
Accept that it's made to a price, has a 1 year guarantee, presumably has weak coatings on it as you cannot use liquids to light the coals and it'll will be in the bin in 2 years and it's fine.
Weber's are over engineered but as others have posted a decade or more later and they still look and perform like new.
Still you can buy a new one every 2 years and still be evens for years![]()
