Barabus Rocket GTS

170k would be a bargain. It's going to be more like £900k+ with only 25 being made.

Sorry yes, I meant £710,000. Advertised at a million dollars. A VERY expensive Merc hatchback.

Watched this yesterday very interesting read!

That being said he didnt mention the interest rates on used cars which is another big factor! Im after a 7 seater and was looking at a Defender from Land Rover today and the interest was 14.9% eye watering! Made the monthlies as much as buying a new one.

Yes, I have been hearing adverts on the radio for 'approved used' VWs recently. I think their interest rate is something like 14%. That's ridiculous, especially when interest rates are falling in general.

Just back from Florida and my grandson spotted a Barabus behind us, I said ah its one of those jeeps and he said its one of a few made and worth over £700 k/£1m....ridiculous for what looked like a merc jeep. This though looks nice

At that price I'm never going to need to wonder whether I like it or not!

Me neither.
I could sell my house and live on the street aswell as cash in my pension and use every penny in the bank to buy one of those......or....be warm and comfortable and not have one.

That was a Merc G wagon. With 850bhp admittedly. A 2.5 tonne dinosaur of a car. Just why? :?

We've just purchased a 6 month old XC40, dealer was offering 12.9% (high so you buy a new vehicle), so we used a company called Forza Finance at a more reasonable 8.9% and was very happy with the process. Though, the prove your identity, was a bit of an ordeal as was the impact of the "finance commission" on PCP/HP agreements appeal decision.

Supercars were never my thing but even the new sportscars have lost something. Maybe it’s just the older me talking willing to have the same feeling that older cars give? Unfortunately there is no going back to that with the new models.

Thanks for the heads up!

I know 8.9 is nearly half but 8.9 is still high especially when thinking of spending 60+K. The lease deals are looking so much more attractive than preowned or PCP. I was looking at an EV9 and the lease deal was about 8k cheaper over the same period but it was 8k upfront so suppose you would need to find that for the next one.

Hoping the rates will reduce at some point and make some of these cars easier to finance.
