Ball joint advice

I have an MOT advisory for "suspension arm ball joint has slight play offside front lower 5.3.4(a)(i)" on my 07 e85

I have tried search without luck on the forum, I have a couple of questions

Should I fit OEM replacement?
Are there upgrade / better options out there?
While replacing this, is there anything else I should get the garage to change at the same time?
Also should I do both sides?

I'd defo change both sides and while in there, do the lollypop bushes too.
 
The balljoints aren't replaceable on the OE arms, so you need new arms.

I'd change both - and the bushes at the same time.

I bought a set of these which included the track rods arms as well from the same seller. Arrived very quickly and are genuine Meyle HD parts. (Link to the ones I bought - they were £200 when I bought them :P).
