So what is the general consensus around the bmw badges on the alpina's .
I know it's a bmw z4 , as do most people , but I'd have thought alpina would have put there badges on the front , rear and sides like they've done on most of there bmw derivative cars .
I'm considering changing mine but not sure of the sizes I'd need or if it's a good idea anyway ?

Be gentle with me

I don't think Alpina put external badges on any of their models TBH.
The only external Alpina badges I have seen have been on 'fakes'.
My B3 didn't come with anything but BMW badges, except the ALPINA lettering on the front bumper and on the rear. Oh and on the wheel centres.

Ye , cheers for that , have you considered putting some on it ? Just seems as though the cars should have them on at least front and rear to signify there difference . Or is it just me . Probably the later .
Not a bmw hater , just a old fool I guess .

I haven't got the car anymore but if I did I would definitely NOT be putting Alpina badges on it. They are associated with 'fake' Alpinas, so to me you are trying to make the car look like a fake, when it isn't.
I was always under the impression that 'less is more' with an Alpina.

There are Alpina badges on the Alpina parts and BMW badges on the BMW parts - this is by design and runs through all the Alpina models. Any badges that you see on non-Alpina parts are aftermarket fakes and viewed in the same way as plastering a vanilla BMW with ///M badges

I was always under the impression that 'less is more' with an Alpina.

The analogy that I tend to use is having an ///M car is like visiting Stringfellows whereas owning an Alpina is akin to being a member at White's
