Bad service

Just had some really bad service at Currys when I went to buy a fridge / freezer for my daughter.
Gave them the door sizes (610 & 1500) their expert insisted that was a 70/30 split for the unit they supplied - absolute garbage and I will only use them as a last resort!

Kick boards in kitchen left unfitted, customer service couldn't care less , store manager couldn't care less , two of the three sales staff advised wrong appliance ! :headbang:

I would normally shout it out loud publicly what store their poor service and names even to shame a few then letting them know they've lost business from yourself, family, friends etc to another rival company

Tweet @DCSebJ (Sebastian James)

He's the CEO of DixonsCarphone, you should get a response. It will also attract a response from @knowhowtohelp although their ability is clearly in doubt.

Currys are simply rubbish Ronk, whether in the shop or ordering goods online.

My last bad experience was last year when I ordered a cooker and paid extra for installation and recycling of the old cooker. It says specifically on their website that electrical items are installed by their own qualified electricians and gives images of the types of electrical connections they can deal with. All they did was send a delivery driver from Indesit who refused to hardwire the new cooker, said he wasn't allowed and quoted Health a Safety bollocks, all he said he could do was plug the cooker in but it didn't come with a wired plug as it had hardwire terminals on the rear of the cooker. Because I'd paid for installation and he said he couldn't install he wouldn't recycle my old cooker but could leave the new one so I would be left with 2 cookers, said he wouldn't be fulfilling the contract with Currys as he couldn't install the new one. So I had paid for installation and recycling and they failed on two counts, absolute farce. I told the delivery guy to take the new cooker away and got my money back.

Will never use them again, even going into the shop staff are completely disinterested and have zilch customer focus or care, the staff in my local branch couldn't even fathom the till and said I'm new here :headbang:

John Lewis are the boys Ronk, excellent service and guarantees.

Curry's are the kwik fit of the white goods world, a complete and utter joke, they employ the dregs that even McDonald's won't take on...

It's good to know they aren't just taking the pee out of me!

I agree with the comments about John Lewis ( it was Bainbridge when I started to use them) they've always been that cut above - they, like the rest of us sometimes get it wrong but it's how they put things right.
Years ago I ordered some posh pans - the van only brought a pan stand and other kit I'd ordered - I contacted the Newcastle branch and a departmental manager brought me the pans to our house in his car ! That's what I call service :
Unfortunately we couldn't get organised to take my daughter to Newcastle so took the easy option - it did take us longer at the end of the day!

I have bought from Ao in the past.

But if I was buying white goods now, I use a local firm.

I used AO last year for a new fridge and whilst OK it wasn't quite like the ads you see with an AO van lol. I got 2 lads in a beaten up old van which was slightly surprising but it was OK. Only thing I found annoying was a follow up call hard selling an extended warranty and the girl who called me was very good in trying to fool you into taking the warranty up.

As said will try John Lewis next time as found them spot on with smaller items and as they use DPD which I've found the best of the delivery companies it's been a good buying experience.

Bad Service?

I was told, "Don't come back" to go to the Greenock branch of Curry's!

I actually lie awake worrying about where I'll buy overpriced electrical s**t from in the future.

Luckily I have access to T'Internet so problem solved and they've lost a customer forever.

Why not put in a lengthy and detailed complaint about the poor service from their staff.

Take to social media with pictures or video of the shoddy work.
