Wind noise is the least of the problem, its the Take That, Right Said Fred and Michael Bolton played at full blast thats the real issue here.
 
What about the other senses? I've had my eyes hurting at the sun reflecting off a sunburnt bald spot!

Not to mention other things aching at a honey wearing a tight seatbelt!

Is it legal to have your ipod headphones in whilst driving? :?

My Bose headphones fully fit the ear sumilar to ear plugs.
 
I've been riding motorbikes since I was 16, so I'm getting a little bit mutton anyway.started wearibng earplugs on the bike only about 5 years ago, damage already done. My wife just grins at me now when she says stuff and I completely ignore her as she knows its not that I'm being rude, I simply didn't hear her. :D
 
Well bit late for me i have inner ear damage in my right ear the inner wall is damaged forget the name they gave it at the hospital but it can be annoying its like you have water in your ear or are coming in to land on a plane.

They say lots of things cause this mainly loud noise so years of standing in the pits wont have helped.

Re the top down i drove a lot with the drivers window down in my old Calibra when on motorway journeys so not much difference when it comes to blasting my ears.
 
But they also found motorists can cut the noise by rolling up the windows when driving with the top down.
This simple measure cut the level to 82 decibels.

Health & Safety Police will probably be banning roadsters soon or insisting you wear ear defenders when driving.

I've found that as I get deafer with age I need to drive something with quad sports exhausts so I can hear it properly :) Z4M should be available on the NHS :D
 
I think working around Jet Engines is going to ruin my hearing long before riding topless will. Besides, isn't the point of getting old is going deaf so you can't hear the wife nag and you can scare the grand children by talking loud?
