Bad luck

My girlfriend took my car to work today, she parked it in a normal car space and a guy with an electric wheel chair drove straight in the back bumper... It has deeply scratched into the plastic by about 10 inches long x2..

Luckily her work has liability insurance and that will cover it but what's the best way of getting fixed?

Can you sand and respray plastic?
New bumper, do they still supply 53 plate end??

Help, I want the best thing done

If it were me I would take it to a body shop I trusted and find out whats available to you, Don't mention insurance or liability to them before you get a price!!

if it's covered by insurance, then whack it in to your BMW dealer.

BMW is my first option but they are on about a local body shop I know nothing about... How is plastic normally done, can you sand and spray and do a good in noticable job??

All moving objects with wheels should have insurance cover for third party.

I think the scratches will be smoothed by using filler, and resprayed. BMW approved bodyshop will normally charge around £500.

I believe you sand, and if necessery, use some fiberglass repair kit, then repaint... or replace if it's too bad

but remember that you don't have to accept wherever an insurance company says.. you get it done where YOU want

Great I'll speak to them mon, having bad luck already roof went last week this week this!! What next..
