Bad hood fit or not down properly?

Hi,
I remember when I had myZ4 I once found the hood wasn't quite down properly and required an extra push to click shut. This was some time ago and cannot remember how the hood looked at the time, but Is this the case here or is it bad fit?

There are a couple of adjustments on the front of the bonnet, the sprung catch in the centre of the bonnet for the correct closed height and the two dead stops either side of the slam panel

These would seem the most obvious thing to look at. Front bumper could need aligning to.

Although I'd still go and see it, it screams "I've had paint" to me. There was a similar blue one on PH recently where the bonnet clearly wasn't on straight.

Eh... Its obvious the bonnet just isn't pushed down fully,or am i missing something ?
Nope, you're missing nothing - the Bonnet  needs a good slam and possibly some adjustment :driving:

Looks like some different paint shades as well :? though real world can be totally different , it may be a totally straight car that needs its bonnet closing properly

Ah...

You have honestly lost me,but a bit of bromance aint on the cards... Sorry.. :o

"Hood" in Engerlandish is the roof. "Hood" in 'Muricanish is the bonnet. It was a gentle tug at the OP's use of the latter.

That's well out.

Screw down the 2 side stops slightly to give some movement. (Not needed so much if you have the spring loaded type, but still do it.
Remove the plastic cover on the loop of the bonnet latch and screw it in a turn at a time until the centre of the bonnet is the correct height to the bumper cover.
Adjust up the side stops up until each corner is level with the wings. You'll need to open and close a good few times.
Move the bumper cover back and forth by undoing the 5 or 6 torx a couple of turns.
Re tighten everything and fit the plastic bonnet latch loop

When all is finished all 4 lines should align perfectly at the bonnet, wing and bumper and have an even line between bonnet and bumper.

Easy :)

If it's still out investigate for damage - unlikely.

At no point slam the bonnet - it's ally and you'll possibly damage it....

Lubricate the lock with oil/ grease (not wd40)

Some scare mongering at it's best in this thread.

It's just on the latch that's all, just needs closing properly.
rear camber looks out to me as well ! ... FFS someone, just shut the bonnet, please, the head gasket may go in a minute !!! :headbang:

Headgasket must have already gone...Blowing the head bolts and thats as far as the bonnet will close..
