5 days short of her 13th birthday had to have my beloved yorkie called Molly put to sleep. She has had a liver problem for a while but had gone downhill recently and after blood test vet told me she has problems with kidneys, and was going blind and deaf and was showing signs of dementia and tended to leave me little presents around the house bless her. It was a very difficult decision as she has been my 2nd best mate, but had a great weekend spoiling her crazy and had 1 last walk / carry in the forest

Aww man I feel for you, they really do become your best friends, at least you have many fond memories and the knowledge she had the best life you could give her. Rest in peace little Molly

We lost our beloved Gordon Setter last year so I know how it feels. Like losing a member of the family. Think of all the good times you had together.

Sorry for your loss...you spend so much time with them and the love they show you is unbounded...

I lost my beloved Jack Russell 4 years ago in similar circumstances and I still have a little weep when I pass her grave...

I’m sure you will always remember her for ever..

When the time is right a new bundle of joy should enter your life..not to replace her but to continue the circle of life and the great relationship that is a man and his dog have..

Again condolences..

So sorry to read your post jabber. :(

They really do become part fo the family, but it sounds like you did the right thing for her in that situation and you've still got plenty of happy times to remember.

Always sad when you lose a little mate.We had to do the same ,about this time of year a while back.

Really feel for you, it’s a terrible feeling.
My little one here is 13 and often wonder how long we have together.
