Bad day today :( on the way home from work doing about 60mph ish
heard a bang on the side of the car didn't think to much of it
until i went to look in the mirror and no glass, and just to make
the day even better now have a nice 3cm ding in the door. :cry:

Been looking about on the net and found this.

Gutted!

Ive never used Chipex but I have had some good results with touch up paint from Paints4u and they seem to be held in high regard by most.

Was it the mirror glass that caused the ding of are they two separate issues?
 
Chipex is very good at hiding stone chips, I used it on mine last weekend, not sure it would hide a 3cm ding...

What is happening this week - my passenger side mirror glass decided to part company on the M4 yesterday - new glass on order from eBay :cry:

Probably the slightly warmer weather affecting the adhesive.

Yes the mirror was the caused the ding, but I think "ding" was the wrong word
It's more like a key scratch looks like theirs no dent, will have a good look today.
