Bad back

Two caveats, though. 'Saving' the position doesn't help, because the Romanians always move all the switches, including the 'Save'. So I remember it.
Maybe avoid the Romanians!
Nah, need 'em. Only washed a car once in my life and didn't enjoy it.

Ironically after this discussion I was stricken with the most acute pain in my femoral nerve..it was excruciating…

My Volvo xc70 seats were the worst to sit in..an old E89with non MSport seats was the most comfortable…

I went to see osteopath who lambasted me for poor posture poor lifestyle management…

I had a course of 4 treatments from her together with a daily stretching / strengthening exercise of the type pregnant / post pregnancy mothers have…

5-6 weeks on I feel so much better and now my back pain is much reduced to the point most of the time I don’t notice..

I can now sit in any car for 2-3 hours without discomfort…

Result..

The most comfortable seats I have are my manual Golf Sports seats, you "fall" into them and only have back / forth and back adjustments.

The Porsche however, has 18 way seats and I am forever fiddling with them to get in a sweet spot.

I dont rate osteopaths going by my experience with one (could just have been a bad one)
Had sharp pains in my shoulder running down my arm almost to my wrist along with limited movement in most directions.
It was interfering with my work and my archery.
Osteopath diagnosed it as a damaged supraspinatus tendon and started to try and get some movement back into it over 4 weeks with excercises to do inbetween.
During the final visit he gave up and said he had misdiagnosed and that I had a frozen shoulder that will take possibly 18 months to heal, if it heals at all.
Went to the docs and after a bit of to and fro got a cortozone injection in my shoulder that enabled me to get a bit more movement with less pain and I could get more sleep as well.
Still not 100% alignment yet but its getting there with just the odd ache.

Fortunately the memory is ok - it’s the other bits that are going off song.
A handful of meds each morning keeps things in check.

For me I think the seats aren't supportive enough been thinking of aftermarket swap.
Btw the best seats I've experienced is in my brothers 2022 Porsche Targa, feels like
its molded to my body superb comfort.

If they are the same as mine (18 ways) it is not surprising, but then they are 5 times the price of M Sport seats

So important to get the position right. So equally important that the seat is as adjustable as possible. Never an issue on long journeys in the MR. That was a very comfy car for me. Many 500+ mile in a day jaunts. :driving:
