Backbox delete today, sounds awesome .with vid/pic

Hi guys, has anyone in the Kent/Essex area had their backboxes deleted like migs? I know BenG and Sausageman were looking forward to getting theirs done. It would be great to actually hear it in person. Cheers
 
Soooooo my wife has just said to me that as my birthday is coming up my present can be, and I quote. "that engine delete bigbox thing you keep going on about" :lol:

So my nearest shop would be EMP performance in St Albans...I'm pretty sure people here have had work done by them but anyone had the backbox delete?

I'm thinking of booking it in for Tuesday!
 
Sounds awesome migs!

I'm torn between doing this and having Exhaust.UK in Sheffield make a cat back system for me.

Quick question? Would this mod be an MOT failure? I thought the exhaust gases have to run through a back box?

So I've decided, sod it! I'm having it done.

I'm off down to Infinity Exhausts in the morning, can't wait! :driving:

So, I had the back box deleted last week at Infinity Exhausts and WOW what a difference!!

Its loud but without being Chavvy! Don't know the db figure as I don't have a meter sadly.My M54 now sounds as good as she looks.

If does drone a bit at 80-90 but when I'm off to Monza on Wednesday it'll sound great in the tunnels as well as on track at Spa the following Tuesday. So I'll live with the drone.

I'm hoping not Ranski but I had them put slip connections on so its reversible if I want to go back to standard. That way I've got sensible for everyday use and loud for when I track it. :D

Hi Nick,

I went for as close to OEM look as I could, so they're a tiny bit bigger than standard and thicker oval's but I've had them staggered so they don't look that different. Its only subtle, the look that is, the noise isn't. Ha

Not sure about loosing BHP either but you might be right in no expert. Can't say I've noticed a difference.
