I am taking about the chrome trim around the grills ,when I first bought my car in September ,I decide to paint them black useing plastic kote first two good Coates of primer which also was plastic kote then four more with matt black wow looks great (for a while ) then bloody stone chips even one is really noticeable with the silver coming through ,over time it got worse so , I repeated the whole process again this time with even more layers of paint ,
Surprise ,surprice after a month or two it look more like a glitter finish so too night in the freezing cold garage I just spent the last hour rubbing them down with fine wet&dry to get them back to chrome and they look great just to dark to fit them
Can you by the trim in black ? If so how much ? Because I sure ain't painting them ever again

Yes they do ,but not a replacement they do a black stick on cover so not to sure how that would look

I bought some carbon fiber reps for mine from ebay and they look great. Not the best pic showing them, but it gives you an idea. If you want a close up let me know and I'll post one. Really sets the car of.

Apparently plastidip is meant to be better as its flexable so doesnt chip.

I tried to vinyl wrap my spare set... Was a disaster... After spending 30 mins at it i ended up with a soapy table.. And burnt finger tips from the hairdryer!

I am always getting burnt fingers from hairdryers a hazard of the job ,so does this make it a Hairdressers car?

Mine have been plastidipped for about a year, not a mark on them. Works so well my gsxr is also matte black, again, handles the abuse very well.

I ll wait till all the craps off the road and re paint with plastic dip thanks for the info

The paint keeps chipping off as the chrome is to smooth for the paint to stick properly.

If the frames are metal I would have them sand blasted and black powder coated

This link to the supplier might help, although I did a quick search and couldn't find them:

They are a great product and fit like a glove.
Here are a couple more pics:
