Not on my own obviously, that'd be weird...

Test drive was great - defo a change up from my wee Fiesta, but exactly what I was expecting from the car.

Got myself hyper paranoid about the 326s now and although I checked the outside edge of each, I'm left wondering if they're doomed with all the stuff I've read on here - sounds brutal!

Anyhoo, I pick up next Saturday - before then though, as the wheels are scuffed, they're refurbing and spraying whatever colour I want - not really sure what works with white....any suggestions?
 
Hi Mark, welcome aboard. Nice to have another E89 owner on board.

You can have the wheels checked prior to pick up, I'm sure they will be fine. Not everyone has had issues so no need to get paranoid about it.

As for a colour for the wheels, either stick with silver or maybe gunmetal. Some have done black but not my cup of tea. You however may like black wheels on a white car?
 
Welcome Mark , if the wheels have any splits they tend to be on the rears & on the back sides so hard to see unless on a ramp or off the car
Against the white i would go graphite or gunmetal if you want a more current look

Congrats on the the purchase, hope you enjoy the zed.

As Angie says not everyone has issues with the wheels, when I bought mine I posted concerns and plenty of members reported no issues and I went for the apparently more crack prone 296's, just try to avoid the cavernous pot holes seems to be the general advice, which seems obvious really.

Just to cover the paint spectrum hyper silver looks great against a white car imho.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks :) photoshopping wheels as we speak! I was sure I'd gotten over the 'bug' after I moved to my last sensible car.....it would appear not.

Bang goes my free time/spare money! :D
 
I would but they were just on some random car from t'web you see. Mine shall follow on Saturday!

I've asked for snaps of all the inner wheels before they refurb this week - least it'll put my mind at rest.

I absolutely can't wait for this week to be over - it'll be a long wait!
 
ah right I thought you were photoshopping onto a pic of the actual car. Yeh, its gonna be a long 7 days

Welcome and congrats!

Every new car I have I say its time for a sensible car. I said it a few weeks ago and then bought an M3.
The bug never leaves, I should know, I'm old :lol:

Nothing out of the ordinary on the Z forum, but here's my first snap :)

Drive home was good - was a bit cautious as its a very different car to what I've been driving the past 2 years - that bonnet is huuuuge!
