Arrived back in the UK this morning.

Left South Sudan, Juba, yesterday 2 hour flight to Addis Ababa ON TIME and good in flight service. :)

Flight from Addis last night left on time and arrived in Heathrow on time this morning.

Heathrow immigration and the electronic passport reader broken - joined a queue of thousands. :(

Heathrow express into London...... delayed on route due to signal problems. :o

Took me 2 hours to get acroos London on the tube to Kings X, more signal failures.
(Longer to get across London than my first flight yesterday)

Train north - and now stuck outside Retford for an unknown time - YES you guessed it signal failure so have missed my onward connection at York :x
But full marks for the trrain crew on the East Coast Service who have at least have kept us going with tea and bacon butties - blitz spirit and all that!

Now bearing in mind South Sudan and Ethiopia are considered 3rd world countries - how is it they can get things right but as soon as you step into good old Blighty it starts to go wrong. :headbang:

Hey ho - fine weather forecast for tomorrow so hopefully a trip in the Zed somewhere with Mrs J.

Welcome back mate....I'm in Dubai but wish I was back in the UK now....

welcome home, just in time for the Lakes weekend hehe

Thanks for the 'welcomes home' much appreciated.

Have escaped South Sudan as they go independent on the 9th July and the current risk assessment not that good in terms of personal safety. All very well and good celebrating by loosing of dozen of rounds from AK’s into the air. But as with all things that go up the bullets have to come down and they can ruin your day if you happen to be in the way. :?

May well try and get to the Lakes run but just need to soft talk Mrs J……. . Stubby awaiting my return home AND now its on – just couldn’t wait – AINT IT SAD!
