Back in a BMW.....Z4 on the way!

After an absence of two and a half years from the brand, I have decided to buy another BMW :D

Having got the urge for a sporty roadster, I looked at Caymans and Boxsters (too expensive from OPCs) and stumbled across the Z4 last weekend when I happened to be in Williams BMW in Manchester, primarily to look at an E46 M3 convertible. I loved the M3 (it was a half hearted look though). I sat in a new Z4, was immediately taken by the look, shape, interior and the practicality of the retracting roof and I really liked the new iDrive and the latest pro nav, far better than the Nav in my old 335d.

I went away, researched prices, drove the Z4 M Sport and made my mind up. I looked at ex demo's and ex BMW management cars but they all stretched the budget. I discovered yesterday that BMW UK do special deals for UK military personnel and rang BMW Park Lane this morning to talk to their specialist. The deal was brilliant - big discount off list and a heavily subsidised finance rate. It was cheaper, in monthly payment terms, than any other car I looked at. I ordered this car for a 1 December delivery:

It may not be the fastest, or the best engine, but it is perfect for me, and seems to be the one that gets the best reviews. I decided on the 19"s, they look fantastic but am aware that I need to be avoiding pot holes! It looks like this:

Why is the delivery date so late? Is it because it is special order (special deals for UK military personnel)?

The 'system' came up with a delivery to the dealer date of mid November, I assume that was their first available build slot, don't know. But my requested delivery date is 1 December anyway, that is the date I want the car.
 
not normally a fan of the new z4, however that looks the nuts ! the best i have seen so far !

the msport really looks far more chunky especially at the rear, makes a world of difference visually. :thumbsup:

:P You won't be disappointed with the new Zed. I loved my E92 coupe, but it was too sensible. The new Zed is pretty special in comparison :wub: :D

See look! All this in the press on how low paid the Armed Forces are and you can get special deals on BMW's! :P
 
Stunning car. At first I wasn't a big fan of the new zed, but absolutely loving it now - especially yours! May actually consider changing in the next year or two now...
 
I am beginning to get the jitters over the colour combo, thinking I should have gone for Melbourne Red and Black...... :| Hope it is just a passing/fleeting doubt!
 
I agree with Gannet, white looks so good. I saw a white M Sport the other day, tried to follow it for a better look but I was in the Micra...
 
the colour scheme is a bit tubbs & Crockett, but overall i think the white and red actually works well, defo a head turner.
