back from scottish highlands road trip and car cleaned

Some pretty good roads for driving up there.
...Without having to break the speed limit.

However, my favourite road has to be in the lake district from Bowness-on-windermere going south to Lancaster on A/B Roads.
Very twisty, and the road surface really smooth.

This might be due to Engine being run in, and the brakes, gears, clutch and tyres all upto optimum performance.
No complaints about steering response or handling. The power delivery was also more the enough, and smooth.
Absolutely fantastic with Sport Suspension, and Sport Mode, with manual gear change

So all in all, don't regret my purchase of 35is, after the extended post-purchase 'test drive'

Maybe i should have done a proper write up, but I'm on night shifts at the moment, and have just spent most of the day cleaning the car. The wheels in particular were heavily coated with brake dust, grease, etc..

well no really that long.

I dropped my 17-85mm lens in a puddle.
That didn't do it much good (it's no in close proximity to the bin)

I tried to take some photos with the 50mm lens, but just couldn't get a reasonable distance away to take any proper pictures.
To say i was rather upset about it would be understating my response.
The only thing that stopped me pulling my hair out, was because I was more stressed about my job applications at the moment...
...and the fact that I was enjoying driving close to 8 hours each day (I've come back with 1600 miles on the clock).

if i can salvage any photos from the trip then I will post them.

after many years of university, PhD, and postgraduate training, I'm finally eligible to be a big grown-up doctor. It does however mean competing against people who have very strong CVs, particularly so in a speciality which is considered more competitive than most. So currently an anxiety provoking time....and yes the Z4 might well be a subconscious desire to distract myself from this. I took up golf last year as a means of procrastinating to avoid revising for my consultant exam (although still managed to pass it)

At least there is a consultant job, by the time I'm finished specialty training we will all be made sub-consultants or something equally ridiculous!!

Nice pics. Loving the Space Grey, now not sure if I've made a mistake with Black.
Oh well, guess I'll find out in 7 days!!!
 
Glad your enjoying the car and the fine selection of roads up here! Where did you get to- or was that in another thread?
