Back box delete

Hi guy I'm looking to get a back box delete done, is there anyone on here that dose it? Want it done this weekend if possible cheers

Not much time scale then :P You could speak to Longlife in Basingstoke They do a lot of Z3 exhausts for a local company that rebodies them as Ferrari's, so used to BMW's .

Had mine done at Longlife in Basingstoke. Top quality job, sounds awesome, but he gets booked up so might not be a ‘this weekend’ option.

Pop an appointment in for a hearing test next free Saturday you get too

Is it that loud?

I hated mine. Changed it at the earliest opportunity - it was horrendously boomy at cruising speeds. Mine was a daily though.

I then chopped out the midbox - that was imo perfect - plenty of rasp, pops and crackles and a little louder than stock but no boom, and no issues with noise limits on track

Guess it’s subjective. I’ve done thousands of miles driving round Europe with mine and get on with the noise just fine.

If its anything like my exhaust is currently, steer well clear  mine is blowing from where the manifolds meet the centre section. It's ridiculously loud and awful at motorway speeds, to the point it gives me a headache.

Fortunately I only use the car for a 10 mile/15 minute commute twice a day, so it's not too much of an issue. I wouldn't like to be doing any more mileage in it though.

Each to there own I guess and I like it loud
Loud won't be the problem, the drone will be. You will be far better off doing what this fella did, which will signifcantly reduce the drone.

I've done mine and love it! Yeah it gets a bit boomy if you're not in the mood for it. I have 2 X 3" tips filling the gap, looks 100 times better than putting the standard tips back in place.

Love my backbox delete. I recently had a nice long drive to Newcastle. Cruise control on at 65-70 for most of it and very little drone at all. I find lower than 2k rpm is where the drone is at.

I’m considering removing the centre resonator for more noise.

Many on here have heard my car and I always get positive comments

Steve, here's the tips I had fitted, fills the gap pretty nicely.

When Joel from "It's Joel" and I meet up so he could film with my M, his 3.0 with the mod was so crazy loud. It was louder than my old Impreza P1 with a 3" Blitz NUR-Spec exhaust, which was so loud I ended up causing a s**t storm with next door!

On the open road his car did sound awesome, but it's something you do when you're young tbh.

I think from places like Powerflow and Longlife you can fit a custom back box to what level sound your after.
Ideally somewhere between standard and complete delete.
