Hello All! Been away for a while enjoying the M6 vert but now she`s gone I`m thinking about a z4mc/r again. I wonder where my old imola red/champagne Z4MC is? From memory YF56 ZD*?

Have bought a sensible daily drive in the shape of a VW Passat cc gt dsg 170tdi (how long is that!). At the moment I have nothing for hoonage and it`s driving me round the bend.
I`m looking at a couple of 7 esque type cars as well. A friend of mine has a supercharged hayabusa MK Indy that he is thinking of selling for his next project. I`m sorely tempted but I`m not really a spannerman which you kinda need to be on these cars.

All thoughts keep coming back to the M as it`s fast and fairly usable.

Hey fella, welcome back! How come you sold the M6...I still look at the regularly...But just not convinced i've got the bottle to buy one! The V10 is appealing but the repair bills aren't...Not sure what warranty would cover...
 
No I didn't as was in NI but I think was 15.5k I offered , he just said market is slow there but looks great for price I think.

The colour, the interior.

Dislike - the dodgy tin roof

Get a Z4MR - you know it makes sense :wink:
 
Couldn`t do a vert after the tour de force that was the M6. Will have to be a tin top Adamski, unless, of course I`m made an offer I can`t refuse ;)

Hello Ali, reason I sold it was I got married, moved house, and I never really keep cars longer than 18 months ish anyhow. Was a fantastic car but don`t buy without BMW warranty, I had some water ingress into electronic gubbins on mine, god only knows how much that would have set me back. The BMW warranty is all encompassing though.

It was never as quick off the line as the z but that was more to do with the gearbox than the power. There`s not a lot that can touch a fully wound out M6 above say 80mph.

Funnily enough I was meant to be in NI this week but got cancelled, I`d probably have bought it otherwise and had a pretty pissed off wife!

I've a Westfield as well as my ///MC, and you're right it does call for a little fettling from time to time. It's also totally impractical 95% of the time. If and when your friend comes to sell his MK, please PM me a link to the advert as it sounds very tempting / utterly lethal in equal measure :thumbsup:
