Considering the important increase in cost per car to build only 99, combined with the balanced package and total exclusivity it offers, I have to disagree with you. Resale value of such a car will skyrocket through the roof 10-20 years from now.
Is the Alpina Roadster V8 an incredible car? No, but just look at how much people are willing to pay for it 8-9 years later...!
Would I buy one if I lived in Europe and had that money to spend? no, but the 99 who will know it has "collectable" written all over it...and it can hit 192MPH.

I saw one of these at Zedfest. Average it certainly ain't and considering the price compared to an E92 M3, I reckon it stacks up well. It's got lots of nice touches, gorgeous lightweight alloys, Akrapovic exhaust, carbon fibre bodywork parts galore, alcantara trimmed interior, BBK etc etc.

just read evo car of the year and it looks stunning in the photoshoot but posted an identical lap time to an M135i - which makes the M135i seem a strange but great move by BMW they have made a great 30k car which makes a lot of their other high performance cars look very expensive.
