AY Lemons & VO Tangerines. :-)

Bit of a blow today..retro fitting a stock diff to the AY20i so that the Quaife LSD can be sold..bought from a 'leading vehicle recycling company' a dif 'in good condition' with a 3 month warranty..only to discover on unpacking it that the main prop shaft connection with some clever nuts was missing..its tightened to 500nm so somebody must have used something to remove it..there is a major instruction pack on how to assemble that baby..so for the time being we will have to skip that whilst we get it re-built or find another one.. :headbang:

Picture shows the end of a 35is version (Birds Quaife re-built)| versus the 20i version with no nuts..

So the AY 20i is now almost ready for sale..the quaife LSD and the super duper audio system are yet to taken out.

So still running a big turbo, 28i front brakes, M3 steeting bushes and revised engine bitts, plus cosmetic parts, so should be a nice car for someone soon.

PeeblesZ4 car VO 20i receiving its goodies this afternoon then finally the AY 35is will get its bits done later ..

New diff on its way for the AY20i to be fitted next week..going for a revised ratio so should be able to top out at around 175 (if the limiter removed) :driving:

So the VO 20i has now left sporting Bilstein B8 shocks, supplex springs, H&R ARBs and 35is calipers front and rear with new Zimmerman drilled and vented discs… :driving:

PeeblesZ4 still agonising over wheel colour strategy.. :tumbleweed:

New brakes and disks fill the holes left by those 326M alloys

Quiet wee drive back up the road. Brakes look great - wee bit soft on the pedal but will take a few hundred miles to bed in. In terms of Shocks, springs & ARB's, the car felt quite planted but 50% of that feeling might be 'in my head'

He hadn’t got over the shock of seeing my 437M wheels in satin black..

They're pretty awesome to be fair. The car will look extraordinary when finished. IMHO. :driving:

Bigger calipers from B21's AY 35i now with a fresh coat of silver and a heat resistant lacquer.
