The main reason for this post....bad bad brake squeal. To start with I am using Axxis Deluxe ULTs (the semi-track pad) on all 4 wheels. I have done a total of 4 track days on these pads. I properly bedded them in.
So after talking with a guy who tracks his 350z alot (and has the car set up for it) and mentioning my squealing issue, he said that after about 2 events the pads are probably toast. So I'm wondering if this is true. The brakes seem to get more quiet when heated up but still squeal a bit. Is this normal for ULT's?
I'm fixing (in the morning when it's cool outside) to pull the pads off to make sure there isn't any problems (and to regrease the contact points on the pads), I just wanted to see if anyone could shed some light for me.
On a side note, I can make the front caliper springs move with my fingers using little pressure, the rear brake caliper springs I cannot do this. So i'm wondering if they are worn slightly and perhaps that is causing the squeal...
