Awful service history

I rang up about a 06 plate M with 60k on the clock.£13k
I asked about the s/h & I thought I misheard them or they'd read it wrong so I asked them to email a copy of the book.
Goes without saying I'll give it a miss! :o
Shame as it looks great.

(Said the 2011 one was done at 38k)

What a mess. Ask them about the bills. If they don't have any... Walk away. Or You can really regret it.

Anyway - running-in check after 4300 instead of 1200 miles... I'm sure there is some tolerance like 1500-2000-2500 miles but 4300?? It looks really bad - since it's the most important one. It can already tell something about the first owner - he didn't really care about this car...

Also strangle that the handwriting looks similar and no Sytner dealer stamps?

Has the SH book been lost and copied from invoices etc?

Not great, maybe worth a punt under 10k, Inspection 2 done by a vehicle hire company as well?? I would want a proper Inspection 2 thrown in straight away at a minimum

Exactly, that could have been filed in by anybody. A call to sytner should confirm, but I would be walking anyway.

It's even the same signature for the Quickfit and Sytner services.
Completely made up log book, with services done on the cheap at random times, I wouldn't touch this car with someone elses....

What a mess, but i guess testament to how strong these engines are without any checks or services for 1000's of miles 8). I'd walk away from that one :|

The sequence is wrong as well with 2013 before 2011 ... and 90 miles between services on that last page.

If you have a new book created (by the last service company by the looks of it), at least give a full and frank explanation.

Haha , that's almost funny , clearly a bodged up service book although it could have been done & original book lost ?
I like the ins 2 entry dated 2 years before the 58700 although in wrong place & then the car has supposedly only covered 84 miles in 5 mionths until the next service ( with the ins 2 in between )
Its virtually a cat d figured valuation with zero substantiated history . AVOID

Just noticed the inspection 2 carried out at "Townsend vehicle hire" :o

If you were recreating the book surely you would do it in the right order, and if it were me I would want the proper dealer stamps.

I have one entry missing from my book, but have the receipt so not too worried. If I'm ever in Yorkshire though I will take it in and get it stamped though.

Tbh the seller would be better off selling as lost or no service history , what is in the book is complete nonsense & not worth a box of chocolate frogs .

:headbang: It's on autotrader, not sure how to post a link to it but it's this one.

Such a shame as I love the colour Combo.
real waste!! :headbang:

Hmm, I would also check the MOT mileage history. If you have the V5C number or last MOT cert number, you can check all the old mileages :)

A hundred dollar Chinese tool will clock just about anything these days :headbang:

Just copy the autotrader link from the address bar of the web browser & paste here. Or hit the share by email link and copy whatever's in your email to here.
