So, after our excellent news about Deb's health, it was inevitable some sh!t would happen to bring us back down to real life.
1. Neighbour came round yesterday pointing out a problem with our roof tiles that he could see from his garden (whole bottom row has dropped). So thats a sh!t sandwich I've got to deal with.
2. Hit a crater tonight and punctured the front left tyre. Having changed from runflats in February I was punished with a flat tyre...in the dark...in the rain! F*CKING can of tyre weld was faulty and wouldn't work, so had to get Deb to pick me up, goto Halfrauds and buy another can. This pumped it up so I drove home, but it was flat again by then so probably ruined the sidewalls.
Pumped it up with my air pump and have just checked, its still holding up so hopefully if its still up in the morning I can carefully drive to the tyre fitters to assess the damage (to my pocket!). Just hoping its the tyre and not the wheel (18" not 19"). Also hoping the rear is ok, will get that checked also.
I'm expecting its gonna need a new tyre. Currently has Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres all round. Kwik Fit can get Asymmetric 5 on Wednesday, or ATS can get Asymmetric 3 on Thursday (according to their websites). Is it ok to mix 3 and 5 on the front axle, or should I keep them the same number/version?
