As title really,..just wondering if most keep the Zed for a season or it's a keeper or somewhere in between. ?

My plan is to keep for a while.... The 1st year is always the hardest for me personally
Finally got around to searching for the previous thread I mentioned. Different question though. Thought you might enjoy the thread any how.

I totted all the the replies up on a spread sheet to get the 3.5 years ave per owner figure. Sad I know. :D

E85 3.0si owned for 3 trouble free years (apart from fubard water pump)
E89 30i managed a whole month before terminal gearbox gremlins stopped play
E89 20i owned for over 3 years so far without any issues whatsoever
(that’s probably sealed its impending doom now  )
To start with i missed the sound of the straight six as it’s so good, the turbo 4 has really grown on me though & after fixing the exhaust valve open it sounds pretty good in it’s own right. Very grunty and cheap to run and no plans to sell :P

Had my E89 23i for nearly 5 years now, so far its been trouble free and cheap to run/maintain. Looking at current values it would be hard to replace unless I injected a lot more cash, 31k on the clock and still looking fresh, it can sit in the garage until the sun comes back :D

First was the Zed 3 for three years then swapped for the Alpina for next seven years, now its the 23i E89 for a year this month. Happy with the car but will I keep? :scratchhead: Always looking, Always fancying.

Jeez, its 9 and half yrs! with the E89 and was 2 yrs with the E85.

No plans to change although I'd like a 35i/s but I've had mine so long I'd hate to part with it.

7 months now. But we're considering holding onto it, and another car we have like that is with us for twenty years now, and counting. Others are 15 and 10 years.

7 months for me, bought her just towards the end of last summer and every time I get in its a thrill. Just come back from a night drive with the roof down and some gentle driving, seats warm, feet toasty and cant see me letting her go anytime soon. First rear wheel drive 2 seater for me and with a new set of tyres I am looking forward to those long summer evenings so I can fully enjoy! :driving:
I've not seen many with this type of front bumper so I ve added a pic of her looking mean. The proportions of the front bonnet make me giddy every time I look at her!

Had my E89 30i about 8 months now and I bought it as a long termer with no plans to sell which is just as well because it is one of those few cars that make you smile every time you look it and every time you get in and drive it, especially with the hood down. It's a real head turner. The inline 6 is just fabulous , great linear power delivery and sounds intoxicating. I had it serviced when I bought it, done some very minor mods and tidied up the body and interior now on to some slightly more major mods as time / funds allow!

That looks like an aftermarket front spoiler, I have seen it somewhere before AC Schnitzer or a copy perhaps:
