Average ownership time ?

4 years. Longest I've ever owned a car. Toyed with selling numerous times, but still love the sound, looks and drive.

Plans afoot for the new year so probably not going to sell anytime soon. Plus for the money I can't find anything I would rather have...atm.

I've had my Z4 for 2 years now and I don't anticipate ever wanting to part with it.

I had my previous car, a 1997 Honda Prelude SH, for 20 years. I kept it until it just couldn't go on.

Just about to roll over 5 years with the coupe and had the ragtop 2.5 for 12 months before that. No current plans to get rid, it's hard to think what else could replace it at its current price point. Anything as capable would cost more and anything as good looking would be double or triple the price...

5 years with the E85, some great times and a lot of fun for a 2.5.
1 year with the E89 and the memories so far have been mostly, not so fun :( . Hopefully things will improve as I work on it/get work done on it...

Coming up for three years with my Saphire Black/Coral red 35i e89 and 40000 miles. Three years is normally about it for me, but i love this car and have further plans for it so here's to the next three! Happy Christmas all.

Plan on keeping mine until dragging around a tank of fossil fuel is no longer legal (or too expensive) so maybe 10-15 yrs max I reckon..

First z4 was around 14 months then the Z4M is 10 months and plan to keep this one due to amount of work I have done to it

Kept our first E89 for 7.5 years.

Replaced it with a newer E89 - SWMBO prefered the old shape and the metal folding roof to the new shape and soft roof so stuck with the E89.

Coming up for 8 years with my 3.0 E89 and definitely a keeper as I love it! Had a 3.0 E85 for 3 years before this one but that had nowhere near the same enjoyment factor.

Nearly 10 years as a 3rd/4th car in the household, I'm planning some road trips this year now that I've got a bit more time. I think the design of the E85/6 is maturing really well and the mechanicals have proven to be rock-solid so I'm no rush to change 8)

I've only had mine 7 months, I've got no plans to sell it and besides which it wouldn't be easy to sell a RHD in a LHD country, so I am stuck with it for life  No bad thing since this car puts a smile on my face each day, haven't really had that since I had my Hartge converted E30 325i! wish I still kept that one!
