so here's an update on my average MPH. it has risen from IIRC 30.6 to 30.9.

it's been raining around my area almost every day. and i've been trying to keep up with my buddy's bike. i also commute like 30 miles one way to work and do random bits of driving here and there, too.

please post pictures. words will not suffice. :D

My average MPH varies on whether I'm taking a trip or not (as does the MPG). On the Interstate highways, MPH usually averages around 70 and MPG around 33. In daily driving, MPG drops to around where yours is or maybe a bit higher depending on the traffic and MPG drops to 28 or so.

The average MPH figure should only change drastically if you reset the OBC for that function - otherwise it will just gradually raise & lower as you driver quicker/slower.

I'll get a photo up once I've taken one, but I think my average is about 50mph since I last reset it about 6000 miles ago.

I rest my mpg and mph when I fill the tank (making it vary more as mmm-five alluded to). It's kind of fun to see if I can increase both parameters at will. :driving:

I don't care, if I did I would have bought a 1.3 Everyone Buys/Has-one GT cheap Motor from the Skohontoysuz Motor Company PLC. :heat:

1000 yeah......

I reset the MPG1 at every fill, but the MPG2 one is never reset (unless the battery's been out) as I want both a per-tank average and lifetime average.
Pity you can't do the same for the average speed - as I'd love to see what the average was after my Ring trip, without losing my historical average.
