Hi guys wow i didnt expect to see such a wide age range, tbh i didnt know what i was expecting lol. Thers alot of age range that own the z4. I think it shows that buying a z is more of a personality thing than practical? I.e when buying a particular family car or hactch back, the age of persons and practicality of a vehicle come into play alot. Where as with the z u know what ur getting, fun sun, smiles and plenty of miles. I am 28 years.

I'm 35. Was 34 when I got my zed 2 months ago. After reading the comments you guys have given me hope that this could be my daily driver for the next 40 years!!!

I see there's a lot of young fellas posting to say they have a Zed (by young I'm referring to the 20's) but when I was that age I had cars that needed spanner attention (cars did then)and I think I have a better appreciation of what makes a car "tick" now. Perhaps the young fellas are missing something?

I fit in with the 20's bracket, even though im halfway through pretty much. I agree with what you have said there. Most vehicles these days are made not to be tampered with and have loads of electronics which 9/10 times need a laptop to fix, or they come with warranties so you need not worry if you don't have the right tool in the shed to fix something.

I have been quite lucky to have much spanner time due to owning many KTM's and only having a motorcycle as my only transport till I was 21 i spent a lot of times fixing the poxy things, some of the stuff I've had to fix just to get home has been quite an adventure sometimes, wouldn't change it though! Now being 24 coming 25 soon i have had a diesel fiesta, 3l coupe and now M coupe but I do appreciate what goes into them and i do try to get as far as I can by myslef rather then take it to a garage.

When i speak to friends with new fiesta ST's and the like about doing various stuff i get back... "Il just take it to the garage" missing out on cut knuckles, Oil in fingernails but then also the accomplishment of getting something done and it actually works
