Average age of zed pilots

26 here, 25 when I got her. I thought about it for a while but only got around to doing quotes shortly before I bought - less than £400 seemed reasonable considering my first year cost north of £2k back when I was 17...

I'm 25, had the Zed for just over 2 years.... Seemed like a logical (?) move from my Mini One when the insurance for the Mini was actually more expensive than my Zed....No idea how that works... :?
Anyway, 6 cylinders is better than 4 :D

Bought my first Z4 (3.0) back in 2007 when I was 25 then moved to my Z4M in 2010 when 29.

Covered about 50k miles between them :)

:driving:

17 when I got my first car - Mark 1 Ford Escort. Got a Spitfire 1500 when I was 22. Then followed a whole string of boring family cars except my much loved 1996 328i coupe. Got the Zed last year. Now 59 physically, mid-twenties mentally! At least my insurance is cheap! :D

59 Last week and had the Z4 two years in August. First sports car owned and love it every time I go out top up and especially top down. :D Your never too old.

I bought my 35is as a very early 30th birthday present to myself and I'm now 30. Starting to get on a bit

However should this not be in a more 'general' area as the Z4 covers the E85, E86 and E89 now.

its amazing how many young lads don't mind driving an old mans car    when I was 21 I wouldn't be seen dead driving a Morris oxford

Seems like 59 was the year  ( 56 in June ).

Did they have power cuts that year??

Up to now I seem to be the oldest at 66 ,prior to the Z4 I had a 2ltr Z3. I use the soft tops for sunny days in the main.
Prior to buying the Z3 I had motor bikes and as I was getting older my reactions were getting slower and I was going to end up meeting my maker sooner than I intend.
I still do a lot of my own work on my motors, age is a state of mind.My attitude is you have one life, make the most of it .

Ops I will put it down to my age,now feel young again :D :D

Polls on this have been done a few times....over the years it has shown/been known that ,for a few years now, the age has ranged from late teens, through to 70-plus age groups and everything in between, so a broad range.
Although as the cars get older and more affordable, the owner dynamic has changed, as happens. Its all good though, and this forum is still the best there is, due to the variety of people on here.

I was in my 30's before I got my 1st z4, coming from various "mildly mod'd" hot hatches :D
