Aux with DSP?

Hi all, I have a 2006 3.0si, with DSP option. I don't have a changer, and would like some kind of iPod integration or AUX input.

After numerous searches, I can't seem to come up with a definitive answer as to what I need. I phoned a few people, one of whom said its not possible to have that if you have DSP.

Here is the plug in the back of the stereo, if it helps.

I have DSP ,Aux , multi changer all factory fit ,although the changer is unplugged as I have the BMW iPod connection kit fitted, no factory sat nav

You can buy the BMW or mini version. About 70 quid I guess, just swap a couple of pins and job done. Top tip - playlists in the mini need to be named mini and not BMW , will have a look on eBay in a second.

Is what I used, mini do one too. £100 is overpriced though. Gives you playlists and mimics a cd changer with random play from iPod or iPhone. Later phones and pods need a charge converter to switch the pins, only a few quid now on eBay. I used to have a 'schose' one I think.

Personally I wouldn't bother again the iPod kit It isn't worth it imho
You have to set up plalylists named specifically and you have little control
I generally don't use it although I have a iPod plugged in ,in case.
I use iPhone 5 with Garmin App and play music through the iPhone ...into a BMW Y cable then into AUX and charger point

Music is managed by Garmin App ie faded when Garmin is speaking

All mounted on Brodit/proclip setup

Mine purchased and installed in 2010 certainly does not need an adapter .The change over (removing Firewire charge ) happened a long time ago

iPhone Sat Nav App ( brilliant by the way )
and agree we have Nuvi 3790 in X1 and it would help but it has no integration capability although the mount does have a reasonable speaker

I can't tell from your pic if you have nav, if so I'd advise the Intravee/KCA-420I as the best route to iPod integration. If not then maybe a dice or Dension unit?
