Ground loop.
Easily fixed via an isolator or plug-in audio filter.
Been through this years ago. Isolator worked to a degree but not fully so decided not to charge while aux plugged in.
It's because there are all sorts of electrical paths in the gubbins ur using grounding differently and causing induction voltage leading to interference.
Buy an anker usb charger and use that instead.
This is the one I'm currently using https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00M6Q83B4 - The reason I liked this one is that it fits almost flush. Obviously though, if it doesn't work properly then I'll need to get the Anker one. Will this one suffice: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Charger-PowerIQ-Technology-Motorola/dp/B00VH84L5E
No sorry, i should have been clearer; I meant an anker external usb battery charger. the reason u have buzzing is because of all of the different voltage paths - car power supply, lighter charger supply voltage step circuit, phone supply. there's too much going on obviously which is leading to a ground loop.
Not everyone suffers from this, including me thankfully bu it could be anything/everything in that whole system of devices and wiring. Could also be that ur car isnt grounded perfectly.
Check with a multimeter from battery negative to a ground point on the car.
Try to borrow an external usb battery charger and test before buying one.
I use this one on my bike to power an iphone and i can leave the screen on permanently to use google maps. goes all day and beyond. Small and light enough to sit in a toptube bag without adding too much weight.
