AUX problems

Hey everyone,

I bought the AUX input for my M coupe. Installed it myself after watching the videos on YT. Worked like a charm at first but now after some usage (30-60mins) the AUX disappears from the stereo. Upon disconnecting the 3.5mm minijack from the AUX the input reappears in the stereo. But upon reconnecting the minijack the AUX disappears again and the radio switches on. Luckily it's tuned to classic FM which so far has made it slightly less annoying but has anyone come across a similar issue with their AUX input??? If so, how did you fix it?
 
Did you buy an original or an after market one?

I'd check the soldering on the components in the aux cable wiring. Maybe there's a dry joint.
 
I had the same thing with my iPhone in #69 with the OEM aux cable I fitted. On charge it would drop out. A ground loop isolator was suggested. I bought an Intravee instead :)
