Aux point (cigarette lighter type) ln e85 boot.

Hi all , I need to put aux in the boot so I can plug in my coolbox into it, has anyone done this or any info on how to please.ive done a search but cant find anything.
Can you just run a couple of wires with an inline fuse from the battery,??

I wanted to do this last year. In the end I decided not to mount the lighter socket in the boot liner by cutting a hole and instead just put the lighter socket in a box and connected it to the battery via a fuse. When not in use (99.9% of the time) the box sits in the battery compartment housing out of the way. The socket is powered all the time and my coolbox takes about 4A and so you don't want to leave it connected without the engine running for long periods.
 
Cheers bladeowner that sounds a good simple idea, wernt sure if I could just connect to battery so many thanks.As you say not use much I need it for my euro cruzes and the odd hot day in uk.
