Aux not recognised

Hello again Folks.
I recently fitted a digital auxiliary device with USB/SD card and 1/8" jack inputs. The device ( can't remember it's name) isn't recognised by the head unit, it's a 2006 Business head unit and all the wiring seems in order. Any ideas?

Has the cable you connect to the stereo got the resistor in-line, that's what tells the stereo there is AUX

It's not an AUX install...

Is it a Grom audio or Dension or...?

Did you install it in the boot or the back of the stereo?

After an exhaustive search I found the threads regarding the 300k resistor trick. Thanks anyhoo.
