AUX Installed

This is what I had in mind...better quality cable would be nice but for that price I'll order one and try it out...

After installing the aux in a few weeks back I also noticed the lack of bass. I ordered a FiiO ipod to jack connector and it was delivered last weekend. So will let you know if it makes a difference.

Tested out the FiiO cable today. Much better than a 3.5" jack to jack. The volume is much better and the overall frequency range is better. It's worth the money. I got the gold plated version from dealextreme.com. They are cheap and prompt delivery.

That is good news...I'll order the one off ebay that has both the mini jack and USB charger cables combined.
I appreciate your feedback on using a dock connector for output... :thumbsup:
 
I use an iPhone -> 3.5mm jack / USB charger. Obviously my iPhone connects on end, on the other I have hard wired in the USB to my stereo (for switched power) an then the 3.5mm jack for audio through the stereo. Cable pops up through the ash tray and into my little dock. Nothing cluttering my dash, out of the way and nice position for sat nav!

Do you have any detail on how you hard wired the USB to the streo for switched power? Do you have the stock business cd radio?
Do you have any photos or info regarding the dock you are using...sounds like a good way to go.
