AUX input on CD player (all models have it?)

Aux in became standard on 2007 model year cars, so as long as it's no been sitting in a pound foe a year or so before it was registered you should be Ok.

That said it an easy and cheap retrofit, you can do it for under £20

Perfect, the car is registered in late 2008 so it should be fine :) At least thats what it says on the second hand page in BMW.co.uk :)

Ah yes but registered in June 07, when was it built? (sticker on front offside strut will tell you.

I have a 2007 3.0si and it has the aux input although I am not impressed with the quality of the sound produced from it. Hooking my MP3 player up to it produces lackluster results.

I've just done a vehicle check on the DVLA website and it says Year of Manufacture 2007 :?

Don't think the DVLA will know when the car was actually made, just when it was registered

doesnt the car have near the vin number the month and year of manufacture?

Not checked on mine but my previous jap cars all had it on the vin plate.

Mine has the aux in.. dont find it very good.. and its in an awkward position.. to connect anything causes wires to go all over the gear stick..

My coupe was built in Aug 06,so what was the car doing between being built in Aug 06 and being registered in June 07 :?

My 2008 M Roadster had a November 06 build date and that had factory aux in.

Yes but that would have been a 2007 Model Year car, IIRC they normally start building the next model year after the summer break when the tooling gets changed so normally from September time.
